Disneyland On A Budget

Disneyland on a Budget

A Trip to the happiest place on earth can be tremendously hard on the good old pocketbook.  But it doesn’t have to be that way.  With some tricks that we will give you to save some of that money for other future vacations.  We will show you below our secrets here at Vincent Vacations!  Here are some of my tips and tricks to plan for Disneyland on a budget.

Travel Planning

Plan Trip in Off-Season: Early January through Early March is the cheapest time to visit the Magical Kingdom.

Find Good Flight Deals: If you are doing Disneyland on a budget and flying definitely do some shopping and take your time (doesn’t hurt to plan ahead as well).  I like to compare an array of different flight search engines/sites.  Here are a few that I love to use that give great deals for flights to California.

1.  CheapAir.com is usually my first choice for searching for the cheapest flights to Disneyland.  They have a great search engine that will let you know when the best time to fly is.

2. Thrifty Traveler is another great service to use to save on flights, this service requires a monthly membership fee, but it is well worth it compared to the savings on flights that you will get!

3. Google Travel: A hack that I like to use is to make sure you use a private browser and do a search of the flight that I would like but use flexible dates (then you can find the cheapest times of the year to book your flight).

Accommodations Research

You can save loads of cash searching for the best deal on the place to stay.  The Disney Resort Hotel is an amazing place to stay with lots of perks, but it’s not the cheapest by far, so weigh all your options.

1.  I would look first at VRBO, I have found some killer deals on places to stay on this site!  Instead of staying at a hotel you end up staying in a more private setting, either a house or apartment (depending of how large of a place you need for your group).

2.  I would next use a search engine like Priceline.com to find hotels that are in Anahiem and compare rates of those vs VRBO.

3.  If you have any travel perks like for credit cards or even a Costco Membership you can check and see what kind of rates they can give you.

Bundle and Save: Look for ways to bundle your airfare, accommodations, and park tickets.  One site that I found that has lots of ways to bundle and save is Get Away Today.  Other places to are: Costco TravelSouthwest Vacationsand Travelocity.
