"It's a Small World" Ride
This is such a simple but one of the great original rides at Disneyland. An interesting fact is that the original version of this ride was featured at the Worlds Fair in New York in 1964 before moving to Disneyland in 1966. This is a boat ride that features over 300 audio-animatronic dolls in traditional costumes from around the world, frolicking in a spirit of international unity, and singing the attractions theme song (“It’s a Small World”, which has the theme of global peace. This ride can be enjoyed by all ages!
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
This ride you take a ride as Mr. Toad through the streets of London and then you enter a tunnel that leads you to hell. This is one of the “dark Disneyland rides”. It originally started in 1955 when the park opened, but was reimagined in 1983. It is loosely based on Kenneth Grahame’s “The Wind in the Willows” and also one of the two segments have animations from 1949 film “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.
Peter Pan's Flight
Also one of my favorite original rides at Disneyland. As a little boy I watched Peter Pan an endless amount of times and also loved the movie Hook! This is a suspended rail ride in the dark that starts out flying over London and then through Neverland. You see the whole cast of Peter Pan on this one, Peter, Wendy, Michael, and Captain Hook on this great animated ride!
Snow White's Enchanted Wish
This is another ride that has been running since 1955, but of course reimagined a couple times over the years. This ride takes you through Snow White and the dwarfs home, through the mines where they work, and then to the castle where Snow White sees the wicked Queen. It’s of course based on the Disney movie from 1937.
